Chubby Gorilla cartons shrink wrapped on a pallet: case, carton and pallet are the three quantity steps that move your price

The three tiers

Case pricing suits sampling and small runs. Carton pricing is the working tier for most brands. Pallet pricing is where per unit cost flattens out and freight per unit collapses.

Find the freight breakpoint

Parcel shipping stops making sense somewhere between two and four cartons. Past that, a part pallet on a freight rate is usually cheaper even though the invoice looks larger.

Key takeaways

  • Compare cost per unit delivered, including freight
  • The first pallet is usually the biggest single saving step
